This week was NAIDOC Week, celebrated later this year due to Covid. 4M spent lots of time researching this year's NAIDOC Week poster and the life and work of David Unaipon who is featured on our $50 note. Watch this week's special NAIDOC Week assembly through the school website to hear each student talk about the poster they made to display their research - they all look amazing!
We were also extremely lucky to have Max Thompson bring traditional Aboriginal dancing to our school this week. We were shown some traditional dances and learnt the meaning behind them, and even learnt some moves ourselves! It was a truly special event to be involved in and we were all very thankful for the Aboriginal knowledge that was generously shared with us this week.
We can't wait to watch the full NAIDOC Week assembly tomorrow to see what wonderful activities the other classes have been up to to celebrate this special week!
